Data System Interface

The DSI allows communication between IonWizard and most of your peripheral devices, including MyoPacer, analog sources, etc.
The DSI-300 Data System Interface provides an economical alternative to the Fluorescence Interface System in applications where only contractility or diameter is measured. It does not support the acquisition of fluorescence data.
The IonOptix DSI-300 serves as the interface for communication between the IonOptix system and external hardware. The importance of the interface box for contractility measurements is that it allows you to combine external stimuli (e.g. pacing pulses) with data traces. Synchronizing data points to the pacing stimulus allows full use of the powerful tools IonWizard provides for averaging contractility events. The interface box also enables communication between IonWizard and vessel myograph recording sources, allowing integration of force or pressure measurements with vessel diameter.
In addition the interface box gives the opportunity for (1) the use of an external stimulus to start data acquisition (2) the recording of external data signals (analog to digital) and (3) the output of IonWizard generated data traces (digital to analog) to external devices such as chart recorders.
