MultiCell Case Study: Higher Throughput Pairwise Data
Making pairwise comparisons between conditions offers higher precision and less ambiguity. In the case of excitation-coupling functional measurements, tests are frequently performed before and after treatment. Traditionally the throughput of such an experiment, however, is limited to measurements of only one cell at a time. Here we present a case study demonstrating the utility of our MultiCell Lite system. Data was collected pre- and post-isoproterenol treatment from over 120 myocytes from two animal models over less than an hour each. This is noteworthy because, previous to MultiCell, this amount of data would have taken weeks and required many more animals.
