Interactive Myocyte Workshop
Workshop Date: 24 September 2025
Location: O|2 lab building, VUMC
Visit us after the close of the European Muscle Congress to learn how to acquire high-throughput data from iPSC-derived, skeletal, and adult cardiac myocytes*, including tips and best practices. Additionally, we’ll demonstrate how to optimize measurements in mouse ventricular tissue slices and, if available, we will also demonstrate acquisition from myofibrils!
The workshop will take place over a single afternoon after the EMC awards ceremony and closing remarks (concluding at 13:00). The workshop will take place in the O|2 lab building (De Boelelaan 1108, 1081 HZ Amsterdam). We are grateful to be guests of the Physiology Department, in the laboratories of Profs. van der Velden, Ottenheijm and Kuster. - Utilizing the IonOptix MultiCell for higher throughput myocyte measurements,
- Collecting mechanical work in living myocardial slices* with the IonOptix Cardiac Slice System,
- Acquiring data from mechanically loaded myofibrils* with the IonOptix MyoStretcher.
