Sales & Application Specialist (Western Europe)

IonOptix is a leading provider of quality ratiometric fluorescence and cell dimensioning data acquisition systems. Our products are used by preclinical cardiovascular researchers globally. We offer high-quality systems for measuring calcium and contractility in cardiomyocytes, tissue, and vessels, as well as innovative solutions for electrical stimulation of cultured cells.

With offices in North America and Europe, IonOptix is dedicated to enabling simpler and faster acquisition and analysis of calcium and contractility without sacrificing data fidelity.

Role Description

  • Based at our office in Amsterdam, NL you will travel to meet customers in order to demonstrate, install, train, and provide both technical and scientific support for our product range.
  • You will exhibit our products at academic meetings and will need to quickly develop a technical understanding of our product range and supported research applications.
  • You will be responsible for handling all incoming sales inquiries, generating new leads and handling the full sales cycle.
  • You will be the primary point of contact for your region and will be responsible for managing relationships with our customers.
  • You will build and maintain a sales pipeline within a CRM.

Qualifications

  • BS required, MS or PhD in biology, mechanobiology, biotechnology, biomedical sciences/engineering preferred.
  • Experience with Microscopy, particularly, fluorescence microscopy would be beneficial.
  • Self-starter, good communicator, diligent and passionate about science/technology.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in the fields of physiology and/or cardiovascular sciences.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbally, in writing and presenting. French is not required, but would be a plus.
  • Ability to learn complex scientific and technical concepts related to our instrument applications.
  • Experience working with isolated and/or IPSC derived cardiomyocytes would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in the life sciences or biomedical field is also a plus
